Capcom has announced that it will be suspending accounts in Monster Hunter Wilds due to misconduct, which includes the unauthorized acquisition of unreleased content. Starting June 5, players found to be engaging in such activities will face progressive suspensions.
While many fans appreciate the existing content, there is a significant anticipation for the upcoming Title Update 2, slated for release in summer 2025. Title Update 2 promises to introduce layered weapons, a long-requested feature that is expected to enhance the gameplay experience for fans who enjoy customizing their Hunter’s appearance.
Since the game’s launch in February, players have had access to layered armor, which allows them to modify their character’s look without sacrificing the benefits of their equipped gear. The addition of layered weapons will further address the desires of style-conscious players.
In a recent communication, Capcom emphasized that any players found violating the game’s conduct guidelines, including cheating or using unreleased content, would be subject to account investigations through detection systems. They have also stated that they will not respond to individual inquiries regarding enforcement actions.
Players can report suspected cheaters directly through their Hunter Profile by selecting the “Report” option. Additionally, Monster Hunter Wilds has recently engaged in a crossover with Street Fighter 6, introducing character skins like Akuma, Cammy, and Chun-Li.
Akuma was made available as a free DLC, while the other two characters were part of a paid DLC package. This crossover utilizes the game’s layered armor feature, allowing players to enjoy the aesthetics of their favorite Street Fighter characters while still reaping the benefits of their best equipment.
As more content continues to roll out, fans remain hopeful for the future of Monster Hunter Wilds.
