The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has launched a new drop event, running from June 4 until June 14, featuring a unique Necrozma card. This event offers an assortment of rewards, including hourglasses, shinedust, and shop tickets, in addition to the much-anticipated Ultra Necrozma ex card as the main prize. The event celebrates the Ultra Beasts, an intriguing group of 11 extradimensional creatures first introduced in the 2016 Pokemon Sun and Moon games. While most Ultra Beasts made their debut in these titles, others were introduced in 2017 with the release of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
Although Necrozma itself is not classified as an Ultra Beast, it has connections to this fascinating group. To highlight the Ultra Beasts, the Pokemon TCG Pocket has organized this exclusive drop event. Players participating in the drop event can also collect new promo cards for Dawn Wings Necrozma, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Kartana, Blacephalon, Xurkitree, and Stakataka. To earn these cards, players will engage in solo battles against Necrozma decks at beginner and intermediate levels, and Ultra Necrozma decks at advanced and expert levels.
Noteworthy is the design of the Ultra Necrozma ex card, featuring a striking gold illustration by Planeja Tsuji, exclusive to the event. The alternate art versions of Kartana, Blacephalon, and Xurkitree, designed by Hasuno and Shin Nagasawa, add further appeal. Additionally, the Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane cards showcase artwork by Nagimiso and are also exclusive to this event. Furthermore, the Ultra Beasts are celebrated in the new booster pack titled Extradimensional Crisis, which includes 103 cards for players to collect, featuring 19 Pokemon ex cards.
Players can also discover shiny versions of popular Pokemon like Arcanine and Pidgeot, along with the coveted Nihilego crown card.
