FBC: Firebreak PC System Requirements Unveiled for Control Spin-Off Game

Remedy Entertainment’s FBC: Firebreak is set to make its debut as the company’s first multiplayer experience, serving as a narrative connector between the acclaimed game Control and its upcoming sequel. This multiplayer spin-off takes players back to the enigmatic Oldest House, where they can team up to battle the formidable Hiss. Originally revealed as Project Condor in mid-2021, FBC: Firebreak was officially named and showcased in October 2024.

As anticipation builds for its release, players have been eagerly awaiting more details about the game. Notably, Remedy has now shared the official PC system requirements, structured across four performance tiers: Minimum, Recommended, High, and High Ray Tracing. At the Minimum level, FBC: Firebreak targets 1080p at 60 FPS using low graphics presets and requires an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or AMD RX 5600 XT.

It also necessitates an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X processor, accompanied by 16 GB of RAM. These specifications fall within a reasonable range, especially for a game slated for release in 2025, considering the advancements in hardware available today. The Recommended setup is designed for 1440p resolution at 60 FPS with medium graphics settings, needing more robust GPUs like the RTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT with at least 8GB of VRAM.

For those seeking the best possible visual quality, the High and High Ray Tracing presets will support 4K at 60 FPS, requiring high-end components such as the RTX 3070 or RTX 4080, respectively. Additionally, broadband internet access will be essential for gameplay when the game launches on June 17. Alongside this technical information, FBC: Firebreak draws some of its design inspiration from the popular game Overcooked.

In response to beta feedback, Remedy is also making improvements, including enhancing starting weapons and fine-tuning combat pacing, difficulty, and enemy variety.
