Fortnite has recently introduced a new emote named “Gentle Painting,” paying tribute to the late American painter and instructor Bob Ross. This emote captures the gentle spirit of Ross, known for his iconic PBS show “The Joy of Painting,” which aired from 1983 to 1994.
Ross’s legacy is characterized by his calming demeanor and positive philosophy, famously referring to mistakes as “happy accidents.” The new emote is available in Fortnite’s Item Shop for 500 V-Bucks, but will only be on sale until July 27.
Although Epic Games has not marked it as exclusive, players are left wondering when it might return after its initial run. Leaker ShiinaBR revealed that users can enjoy up to four voice lines from Bob Ross while using the emote, adding a nostalgic touch to the experience.
In other Fortnite news, Chapter 6 Season 3 is nearing its end, and many players are buzzing with excitement about upcoming content. A particularly anticipated addition is the new Fantastic Four bundle, set to be released on July 25 at 8 PM ET.
This bundle is part of a collaboration with the Marvel Cinematic Universe film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” which is currently in theaters. However, Epic Games recently shared some disappointing news for Fortnite fans in the UK.
Originally scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2025, the Epic Games Store and Fortnite will not be launching on iOS devices in the UK as previously planned. This update follows a recent roadmap from the CMA, which prompted Epic to adjust their expectations for mobile availability this year.
With the “Gentle Painting” emote and the Fantastic Four bundle on the horizon, the future of Fortnite looks promising for its dedicated community.
