Nintendo has introduced an exciting new reward for fans of Donkey Kong with the release of the “Bananza Rally Towel” in the US My Nintendo Store. All Nintendo account holders can claim this unique item while supplies last. Donkey Kong Bananza, one of the year’s top-rated games, showcases the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2 shortly after its launch.
This latest installment in the Donkey Kong franchise arrived on July 17, 2025, more than 25 years after the debut of Donkey Kong 64. Developed by the Super Mario Odyssey team, Donkey Kong Bananza is only the second 3D Donkey Kong game. Players join Donkey Kong and his partner, Pauline, as they journey underground to explore the mysteries of the Planet Core, a fabled location believed to fulfill any wish.
However, they face fierce competition from the Void Company, led by Void King, Grumpy Kong, and Poppy Kong, who seek to claim the riches of the Planet Core for themselves. To celebrate the game, players can redeem various free rewards through the ever-evolving catalog in the My Nintendo Store. The new Donkey Kong Bananza Rally Towel is available for 650 Platinum Points and features an 8×12″ design showing Donkey Kong in an action-packed pose, alongside the game’s logo and a breakable barrel.
While the towel can be redeemed using Platinum Points, shipping fees still apply, and each account can order only one towel. Given its limited availability, this towel may quickly become a sought-after item. Additionally, Nintendo has begun rolling out special Donkey Kong Bananza icons for Nintendo Switch Online members, with the first wave available until July 23.
