Pokemon GO has announced exciting new Adventure Events featuring Zacian and Zamazenta, set to debut during the much-anticipated GO Fest: Global. This event marks the culmination of the year’s biggest celebration for fans of the augmented reality game. Zacian was introduced to the game in 2021 during the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event, while its Shiny form made its first appearance in 2024 at the Legendary Heroes event. Similarly, Zamazenta also debuted alongside Zacian in 2021, and its Shiny version became available in 2024 at the Galarian Expedition event.
By 2025, Niantic expanded the lineup by introducing the Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta forms with their shiny variants during GO Fest 2025. As part of this year’s events, Pokemon GO players will gain access to new Adventure Effects that enhance gameplay for both legends. To activate the Adventure Effect for Zacian, players must have it in its Crowned Sword form. This allows the Charged Attack Iron Head to transform into Behemoth Blade, which can then be activated using 5,000 Stardust and five Zacian Candy.
Once activated, this effect boosts the player’s Pokémon attacks during raids and Max Battles for six minutes. In the case of Zamazenta, players need to ensure it is in its Crowned Shield form. This change allows Zamazenta’s Charged Attack Iron Head to switch to Behemoth Bash. The Behemoth Bash Adventure Effect can also be activated with 5,000 Stardust and five Zamazenta Candy.
However, the bonus for Zamazenta focuses on enhancing the defense of the player’s Pokémon during Raids and Max Battles for the same duration. Additionally, those attending GO Fest 2025: Global will have the chance to battle Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta in five-star raids. Players can earn Crowned Sword Energy and Crowned Shield Energy by defeating each respective Pokémon, while also encountering their original forms, the Hero of Many Battles Zacian and Zamazenta. Furthermore, players who have purchased tickets for GO Fest: Global will enjoy early access to exclusive Pokemon GO perks as the event approaches.
