Microsoft has recently announced the addition of two new titles to the Xbox Game Pass Standard library: Star Trucker and Wildfrost. These games are now available as of June 18 and further enrich an already impressive lineup for the service this month. Subscribers have much to look forward to, as Microsoft has confirmed a diverse range of upcoming games set for release.
Earlier in June, three games were added to the Game Pass lineup: FBC: Firebreak, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. With the addition of Star Trucker and Wildfrost, gamers can dive into these fresh experiences immediately. This marks the return of both titles, as they had previously been removed from the platform.
Developed by Gaziter and Deadpan Games, Wildfrost is a deck-building roguelike set in a perpetually wintry world. While it presents a different gameplay style compared to the indie hit Balatro, it shares some design elements and gameplay mechanics. Meanwhile, Star Trucker allows players to take on the role of a space truck driver, moving cargo across the cosmos.
In addition to these new titles, it’s worth noting that Xbox Game Pass regularly sees changes in its library. Recently, seven games were removed, including Dordogne and Isonzo. Six more are set to leave by the end of June.
Since its inception in June 2017, Xbox Game Pass has been hailed as “one of the best deals in gaming,” providing subscribers day-one access to highly anticipated AAA titles and a variety of third-party releases. Price hikes in gaming may affect the subscription cost in the future, but Xbox Game Pass is expected to remain a compelling option for gamers. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the premium tier of this service, continues to offer over 100 game titles, making it an excellent value within the Xbox ecosystem.
