Dead by Daylight has launched its latest chapter titled “Steady Pulse,” featuring a new survivor, Orela Rose, who is equipped with unique medic perks. Orela’s skills include a faster healing speed, the ability to take protection hits, and other supportive abilities that enhance her role within the team. In a commendable move, Behaviour Interactive has partnered with the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation to donate proceeds from the sale of Orela Paramedic skins, supporting pediatric care at a prominent hospital in Montreal.
In this new chapter, players can expect not only Orela’s introduction but also new events, cosmetics, and an overhaul of The Archives, now rebranded as The Rift. As a live service game, Dead by Daylight continually brings updates that add fresh content, including characters inspired by various media as well as original creations. The game pits survivors against a killer, where teamwork and strategy are essential for escaping the horrific scenarios crafted by the gameplay mechanics.
Orela Rose stands out with her three character-specific perks. “Do No Harm” speeds up her healing process when helping fellow survivors and rewards her for accomplishing Great Skill Checks. “Duty of Care” allows her to serve as a bodyguard for teammates by taking a protection hit and granting them a brief speed boost.
Lastly, “Rapid Response” enables her to quickly exit lockers, exposing the killer’s aura if she is not exhausted. Additionally, the new chapter includes updates to gameplay mechanics, balancing changes, and an array of new cosmetics for various survivors and killers, all to be gradually released from May 6 to May 27. Orela’s backstory adds depth to her character, noting her commitment to protecting others following a personal tragedy, which resonates within the game’s community-driven initiatives.
