Players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can now obtain a special edition of Rillaboom by using the code “R1LLAB00M2024TW.” This distribution event will remain active until July 31, 2025, offering trainers an extended opportunity to add this unique Pokemon to their collections. Rillaboom, the Drummer Pokemon, is inspired by Wei Chyr’s winning entry from the 2023-24 Championships held in Taiwan.
It first appeared in Pokemon Sword and Shield and is the final evolution of Grookey, one of the game’s starter Pokemon. Known for its significant attacking prowess, Rillaboom wields powerful moves such as Drum Beating, Boomburst, and Wood Hammer, allowing it to compete effectively in battles against other Grass-type starter Pokemon. To claim Rillaboom, players need to access the Mystery Gift menu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet while connected to the Internet.
A free Nintendo account is required, but a Nintendo Switch Online membership is not necessary. The Rillaboom will be available at level 50 inside a Cherish Ball and can only be redeemed once per save file. This particular Rillaboom is equipped with a Choice Band and features moves like Grassy Glide and U-Turn.
Its Tera type is Grass, and it possesses the hidden ability Grassy Surge, which creates Grassy Terrain upon its entry into battle. Its stat distribution focuses on 252 attack, 148 speed, and 108 HP. In addition to the Rillaboom event, trainers can also enjoy a different promotion, allowing them to acquire a Rotom Phone case that corresponds to their game version.
