A recent Genshin Impact infographic provides insights into the number of Primogems available in the upcoming Version 5.6 update. Primogems will primarily be acquired through recurring content and events, with new events contributing approximately 25% of the total free Primogems. Version 5.6 will introduce two new characters, Escoffier and Ifa, alongside a “Chronicled Wish” banner expected during the update. The Special Program broadcast for this update has revealed exciting new content, including a return to the game’s first region, Mondstadt, where significant story developments will unfold.
In terms of character updates, Escoffier will debut in the first half of Version 5.6, alongside a re-run of five-star Geo Claymore character Navia. Ifa, a four-star unit, will also be introduced in this period. The second half will feature re-runs, notably featuring fan-favorite character Raiden Shogun along with the five-star unit Kinich from Version 5.0. This gives players a clearer view of the Primogem opportunities during the update.
According to community member Hiragara, the total Primogems available in Version 5.6 will amount to 9,340 for free-to-play players, a modest count given the lack of new areas and the introduction of just one new Teleport. Events and existing content will account for most of the Primogems, with 2,310 from events and over 4,000 from Dailies and the Spiral Abyss combined. The detailed distribution of Primogems for this update includes various sources, such as quests, achievements, and the Battle Pass. Players should be prepared to make the most of their available Primogems, as the update also marks the return of the “Chronicled Wish,” featuring popular characters from Inazuma like Ayaka and Kokomi.
As Version 5.6’s launch approaches, Genshin Impact fans are also eagerly anticipating the reveal of the next region, Nod-Krai, slated for Version 6.0. HoYoverse has hinted that factions such as the Knights of Favonius will play integral roles in this upcoming storyline.
